Each hand sculpted clay pendant is meant to honor the incredible power and beauty of pregnancy. These pendants are each a unique work of art in and of themselves and can be strung to make a varuety of beautiful items from necklaces to ornaments. They make incredibly thoughtful gifts for a new mother, a doula, or a midwife. They are glazed with a natural iron oxide. This piece would look amazing strung as a focal piece with a few wooden beads or earthy semi precious stone beads. Each pendant that I make is formed by hand, pinched, pressed, squeezed, stamped, and carved. I enjoy making something with my hands that then continues it's life in the hands of another. Even more exciting is when I catch someone wearing a pendant that I once made...completing the circle of creative expression.
This high-fired beauty measures 1.25", is made with white stoneware clay and is durable, waterproof and beautiful. Perfect for an eye catching focal bead on any handmade necklace.
Pendants make great stocking stuffers , shower gifts, or DIY projects for a jewelry maker.
