This larger round sea turtle spoonrest dish is made from a white highfire stoneware clay.  It measures 5" wide and is the perfect size for resting a large spoon on the stovetop. The glazes are non-toxic,  leadfree, and foodsafe.  This dish is also microwave and dishwasher safe. 
The photo above is a good representation of the dish you will receive. I take great care to make each of these dishes as similar as I can but they are each hand carved and painted and minor glaze variations can occur. Please feel free to request a photo of the dishes I currently have in stock if you want to see the exact item before shipping.

Absolutely adorable spoon rest with a pair of sea turtles, exceptional quality and shipped super fast. Good communication with seller, who uses a lot of turtles in her art after spending time with her mother on "baby turtle watch" in her childhood. I enjoyed her sharing that story with me in the package as it gives another dimension to her work. I have a different view of turtles myself after a week in Hawaii in 2013. I got to hang out with a HUGE sae turtle on Maui. Those guys are massive with little fear of humans. Awesome creatures! I would definitely use this seller again.
